Regarding your salary, the legal minimum wage in Canada is $16.65 CAD per hour (April 2023).
But most of our employers offer more than the minimum wage and don’t forget about tips!
Plan for the following expenses:
– Visa costs : CAN$172 (+open work permit holder fee of $100 CAD)
– Round-trip transportation costs.
– Adequate funds to cover your time off food expenses for the first month until you receive your initial salary.

Previous experience in the hotel or restaurant industry is not compulsory, as some positions do not require any particular knowledge and are suitable for most people.
Employment is guaranted before you leave. We recommend you book a hostel for the two first weeks of your stay in Australia, so you can find accommodation.
