Candidate’s Review: A group of six students from a hospitality college in France recently completed their internships in Ireland thanks to Roast Jobs, gaining hands-on experience and discovering what makes Irish hospitality so unique.

- John: “At first, understanding English was difficult, especially the accent, but over time I got used to it. It was an interesting experience — sometimes quiet, but always valuable.” His advice to future students: “Integrate as much as possible.”
- Joana: “At first, I was afraid I wouldn’t adapt or communicate well, but the team immediately made us feel at ease. We quickly became friends, the staff were so kind and patient. I’ll never forget this incredible experience. Thank you to Roast Jobs for placing us in such a beautiful and prestigious hotel.” Her advice: “Enjoy every moment, it’s an experience you’ll remember for life.”
- Lola: “The most challenging part was the language barrier. The Irish accent is strong, and they speak very fast! But I learned that even when you don’t know the exact words, there’s always a way to express yourself, with gestures, patience, or creativity.” Her advice: “Even if it’s difficult, don’t be afraid to speak. You’ll always find a way to express yourself, with gestures, patience, or different words.”
- Anaïs: “Everyone was so kind from the start, which helped me adapt quickly. Even with the language barrier, I learned a lot and would do it again without hesitation.” His advice: “Go, even if your English isn’t great.”
- Evan: “It wasn’t always easy, but I met great people and learned to be independent. There were ups and downs, but I’ll mostly remember the positive.” His advice: “Believe in yourself, explore as much as you can, and enjoy every part of the experience.”
- Florian “You need to adapt quickly, learning the starters, desserts, and the local way of communicating. But with time, you’ll find your rhythm.” His advice: “take a bit of time to practice your English before you go.”
