A farm-based internship is a practical, hands-on learning experience on an Irish farm. You will live on or near the farm and take part in daily agricultural activities, learning directly from farmers in a real agricultural environment.
The focus is on skill development, cultural immersion, and rural living.
No, previous farming experience is not required for us to find you a suitable internship placement.
We successfully place candidates who are new to agriculture. However, we do ask that you remain flexible regarding the type of farm placement, as availability depends on the season and farm needs.
Having some basic exposure to physical or outdoor work before departure can be helpful, but it is not a requirement to join the program.
Interns are supervised and guided throughout their learning experience
The agency fee covers full support throughout your journey, including:
Coordination and confirmation of a farm internship placement with accommodation
Assistance with administrative procedures and travel preparation
Pre-departure guidance
Ongoing support during your stay in Ireland
Importantly, the fee is 100% refundable if we are unable to secure a placement by your preferred departure date.
You can submit your application anytime between 4 weeks and 6 months before your desired departure date. Please note that the best period to start the program on-site is from January to June, when most opportunities are available.
We strongly recommend applying as early as possible, as this gives us more time to find the right placement and prepare your profile.
Placement availability depends on farm demand and seasonal agricultural activities.
We confirm internship placement and accommodation arrangements before departure for all programs where accommodation is listed as included.
Accommodation is typically shared and will be arranged before your departure, so you can travel with confidence.
